Colin set up Equilibrium (then known as Applewood) on his own in 1995, initially from his back bedroom! However, the company has steadily grown since then to a point where we now look after £150 million of assets from our modern offices in Wilmslow.
Colin has developed a creative approach to problem-solving which he applies to managing the business and managing his clients alike. He excels at ‘seeing the obvious’ and uses this ability to distil complex information into simple action plans.
Colin now focuses his resources on a limited number of clients and looks after only 45 himself, all of whom have at least £1m of assets under Equilibrium’s influence.Colin feels his greatest achievement is employing 25 people. When he left school he didn’t think he would be able to find a job, let alone be a job creator! Colin loves hobbies that require 100% focus. He is a regular track-day attendee at Oulton Park and loves sailing and ski-ing. He needs to stay focused when moving at speed, whatever the method!
